Connect Reel-E to ChatGPT
Use Reel-E from ChatGPT on the web (chatgpt.com).
Server address: https://www.reel-e.ai/mcp
How you sign in: Sign in to Reel-E in your browser (OAuth). No key needed.
Credits: anything that uses a credit asks for your confirmation first.
What you need
- A Reel-E account. Reel-E is free to try · Cancel anytime.
- A ChatGPT account where custom plugins are available. On Business, Enterprise or Edu workspaces, an admin may need to allow custom plugins first.
- ChatGPT on the web. The connector is set up on the web.
Add Reel-E
Open chatgpt.com and go to Settings, then Plugins (under Integrations). Open Browse directory if you land on the settings page.
Click the plus button, then Add custom MCP server.

Name: Reel-E. Description: Build and edit real estate listing videos from your Reel-E account. Connection: enter the server address https://www.reel-e.ai/mcp.

Authentication: keep OAuth and leave the advanced settings as they are. Read the risk notice, tick I understand and want to continue, then click Create as a plugin.
ChatGPT opens Reel-E. Sign in and press Allow. ChatGPT waits for your yes in Reel-E before anything that uses a credit, publishes or starts a listing.
Back in ChatGPT, review the tools it found and install the plugin for yourself or your workspace.
Use it
Start a new chat, type @ and pick Reel-E, then ask.
What it can and cannot do
Your assistant can look at your listings and videos, change the order of shots, the music, titles, text and branding, check your listing website and video stats, and start a new listing video.
Anything that uses a credit, publishes your website, or starts a new listing waits for your yes, unless you gave that connection permission to go ahead on its own. Every edit has an Undo.
With your permission it can get your finished video ready and give you the download link. It cannot start a plan or change billing, or see other people's listings.
See every tool in the tool reference.
How sign-in works
Most assistants open a Reel-E sign-in page where you choose what they may do (OAuth). Your assistant never sees your password. If an assistant asks for a key instead, make one in Reel-E: open Keylight Studio and the AI Director panel, click the plug button and choose Connect an agent. A key is shown once.
What to say first
- List my Reel-E listings.
- What is in the video for 12 Harbor Lane?
- Move shot 3 to the front and make the title Just Listed.
- How are my listing views this week?
- Make a listing video from this listing page: (paste a link).
Paste a listing page link or public photo links when you ask for a new video. ChatGPT shows a short confirmation before it runs anything that changes your listing. When it says a credit, publishing or a new listing needs your approval, it gives you a Reel-E link to press the yes button.
If something goes wrong
- There is no "Add custom MCP server" option. Your plan or workspace may have custom plugins turned off. On a workspace, ask your admin to allow them.
- Could not connect, or an authentication error. Check the address is exactly https://www.reel-e.ai/mcp. Sign in to reel-e.ai in the same browser and try again.
- ChatGPT did not use Reel-E. Type @Reel-E at the start of your message.
- It lists no listings. Make your first listing at reel-e.ai/create, then ask again.
- The tool list looks old after an update. Open the connection in Plugins and press Refresh.
- It asks to confirm every edit. ChatGPT does this for tools that change things. Approve, or pick the option to remember your choice if it is shown.
Disconnect
In ChatGPT open Plugins, open Reel-E and delete or disconnect it. In Reel-E go to Account settings, Profile, Connected apps and choose Disconnect, which cuts access at once.
You stay in control
You decide what the assistant may do. On the sign-in screen, choose Full control, where it does the whole job without stopping, or Ask me first, where anything that uses a credit, publishes your website or starts a new listing waits for your yes in Reel-E. You can pick which listings it can reach. You can disconnect any time in Reel-E under Account settings, Profile, Connected apps, and the connection stops at once. Reel-E only shares what the assistant needs to do what you asked, and your assistant's maker handles it under their own terms.
