A domain bought in Reel-E is registered and managed by Reel-E: the search, the purchase, the security certificate and the yearly renewal are handled for you.
Buy a domain
Open Custom Domain
Press Edit website, scroll to Web address, then Custom Domain.
Search for the name you want
Type it (for example 12oakstreet.com) and press Search.
Purchase it
If it is free you see Available · $49/year and How this works. Press Purchase for $49/year and pay at checkout.
Wait for Connected
The panel shows Connecting while the domain is set up, then Connected. Your listing website now opens at the new address. The Reel-E address keeps working too.
If you leave checkout before paying, the panel offers Continue checkout.
Renewal
- Renewal is automatic while your subscription is active: renewal managed automatically.
- Cancel renewal keeps the domain until the end of the year you paid for ("It stays active through the paid term").
- Renewal starts about 45 days before the domain expires, with reminders 30 and 7 days ahead. A cancelled subscription is not renewed.
- If a registration fails, the charge is refunded automatically.
Limits
- .com only, no premium names.
- One domain per listing.
- You cannot bring a domain you already own.
- The domain stays with Reel-E: it cannot be transferred to you or to another registrar.
- You need an active or trialing subscription to buy one.
If something looks off
Renewal needs attention or Domain setup needs attention in the panel means Reel-E is working on it. If it stays that way, open Help and send a message; a teammate checks the domain.
