Connect Reel-E to Claude

Use Reel-E from Claude on the web (claude.ai), the Claude desktop app and the Claude mobile apps. Add it once on the web and it shows up everywhere you use Claude. It takes about two minutes.

Server address: https://www.reel-e.ai/mcp

How you sign in: Sign in to Reel-E in your browser (OAuth). No key needed.

Credits: anything that uses a credit asks for your confirmation first.

What you need

  • A Reel-E account. Reel-E is free to try · Cancel anytime.
  • A Claude account. Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise accounts can add a custom connector, and a Free account can have one.
  • On a Team or Enterprise plan, your organization's Owner adds the connector first (see below).

Add Reel-E (Free, Pro and Max)

  1. Go to claude.ai and sign in.

  2. Open Customize, then Connectors. (Settings, Connectors points you there too.)

  3. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.

  4. In the Add custom connector box, type the Name: Reel-E, and the MCP server URL: https://www.reel-e.ai/mcp. Click Continue.

  5. Claude then takes you to a Reel-E page. Sign in to Reel-E if asked.

  6. Choose Full control or Ask me first, pick your listings and press Allow. Full control does the whole job without stopping. Ask me first waits for your yes in Reel-E before anything that uses a credit, publishes or starts a listing.

  7. You land back in Claude with Reel-E listed as connected.

Add Reel-E (Team and Enterprise)

An Owner adds it once for everyone: Organization settings, Connectors, Add, Custom, Web, then the same name and address as above. Then each person goes to Customize, Connectors, clicks Connect on Reel-E and signs in to their own Reel-E account.

Turn it on in a chat

Open a new chat, click the + button, choose Connectors and switch Reel-E on. Claude asks your permission the first time it uses each tool. Choose Always allow for the looking-around tools if you do not want to be asked each time, and keep asking turned on for anything that edits.

What it can and cannot do

Your assistant can look at your listings and videos, change the order of shots, the music, titles, text and branding, check your listing website and video stats, and start a new listing video.

Anything that uses a credit, publishes your website, or starts a new listing waits for your yes, unless you gave that connection permission to go ahead on its own. Every edit has an Undo.

With your permission it can get your finished video ready and give you the download link. It cannot start a plan or change billing, or see other people's listings.

How sign-in works

Most assistants open a Reel-E sign-in page where you choose what they may do (OAuth). Your assistant never sees your password. If an assistant asks for a key instead, make one in Reel-E: open Keylight Studio and the AI Director panel, click the plug button and choose Connect an agent. A key is shown once.

What to say first

  • List my Reel-E listings.
  • What is in the video for 12 Harbor Lane? Tell me what you would change.
  • Move the kitchen photo to the front and make the title Just Listed.
  • Make a listing video from this listing page: (paste a link).
  • Make a listing video for 12 Harbor Lane, Springfield. Use these photo links: (paste links).

Photos you attach to a Claude chat do not reach Reel-E. Use a listing link or public photo links, or upload from a folder with Claude Code.

If something goes wrong

  • Couldn't reach the MCP server. Check the address is exactly https://www.reel-e.ai/mcp, then remove the connector and add it again. Claude does not let you edit an address, so you add it again.
  • Authorization with the MCP server failed. Sign in to reel-e.ai in the same browser first, allow pop-ups for claude.ai, and try Connect again. Make sure it is the Reel-E account you want.
  • It says I have no listings. Make your first listing at reel-e.ai/create, then ask again.
  • A Free Claude account will not let me add another connector. Free accounts get one custom connector. Remove another one or upgrade.
  • Claude keeps asking to confirm. That is by design for edits. Use Always allow for the reading tools.
  • I changed my mind about an edit. Say "undo that".
  • It stopped working after a while. Connections renew automatically. If Claude asks you to sign in again, do so, or reconnect from Customize, Connectors.

Disconnect

In Claude open Customize, Connectors, open Reel-E and choose Remove. In Reel-E go to Account settings, Profile, Connected apps and choose Disconnect, which cuts the connection off at once on Reel-E's side.

You stay in control

You decide what the assistant may do. On the sign-in screen, choose Full control, where it does the whole job without stopping, or Ask me first, where anything that uses a credit, publishes your website or starts a new listing waits for your yes in Reel-E. You can pick which listings it can reach. You can disconnect any time in Reel-E under Account settings, Profile, Connected apps, and the connection stops at once. Reel-E only shares what the assistant needs to do what you asked, and your assistant's maker handles it under their own terms.
